Health Care Workers Rallying Against P3 Hospitals April 3

Since the advent of Medicare in the 1960s, all Ontario hospitals have been public.

"P3s will erode the present health system and services," the coalition says. "Will our future hospitals be controlled by for-profit corporations? Not if we can help it."

    Any more private involvement in our health care system will KILL the public universality we currently have. With some committment and backbone, we can have a health care system as outlined in the Romanow report!

    I swear the majority of Canadians actually listened to their grade 8 teachers when they screamed at them to "shut up and listen to 'authority'". Why are we so willing to let our identities be ripped away from us?

    And yknow.. it's easy to suppress the masses if they can't afford medical attention after you beat them down the first time. Maybe Paul Martin's not as short-sighted as today's budget would suggest.
