US And EU Agree

Posted on Tuesday, May 01 at 10:33 by Rural
However, EU leaders were pleased that the US acknowledged human activity was a major cause. Economics rather than the environment or politics was the focus of the summit, says the BBC's Europe correspondent, Jonny Dymond, from Washington. The two sides agreed to set up an "economic council" to push ahead with regulatory convergence in nearly 40 areas, including intellectual property, financial services, business takeovers and the motor industry. It would be so marvelous to trade geographical locations with the EU for even
    just a decade.

This agreement is certainly not of benefit to global warming. There should be a
push for more close to home manufacturing and trade, not global movement of
goods. The economy will trump the environment every time until we all revolt
    against consumption.
