The two sides agreed to set up an "economic council" to push ahead with regulatory convergence in nearly 40 areas, including intellectual property, financial services, business takeovers and the motor industry.

This agreement is certainly not of benefit to global warming. There should be a
push for more close to home manufacturing and trade, not global movement of
goods. The economy will trump the environment every time until we all revolt
against consumption.
