Mergers Diminish U.S. Sovereignty

Posted on Monday, October 31 at 10:50 by jensonj
On March 23, President Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin met in Waco, Texas, to unveil the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America. The SPP seeks to gradually implement these CFR proposals which are steps toward another CFR goal - passage of the Free Trade Area of the Americas. The FTAA would be a 34-nation regulatory pact to also include South America and would not answer to the U.S. voter. (See stoptheftaa.org) Even greater problems with illegal and terrorist immigration, unemployment, and undermining of U.S. sovereignty under our Constitution would accompany the FTAA than with the North American Free Trade Agreement and the Central American Free Trade Agreement. Actually it diminishes Canadian Sovereignty and makes us a colony of the U.S. empire. We rebelled against being a British colony or French Colony, we rebelled against being American, only to find ourselves part of something even worse. Our military is becoming part of their military, our resources their resources, our people, corporate slaves. They abolished one form of slavery and as Rosa Parks was celebrated in death, we find ourselves on the edge of another form of slavery, interesting situation.

I just wonder how many will stand against this, as she so bravely did alone way back then?

Here's an ex-Canuck who gave up Canadian citizenship to become an American.

I voted for Bush, and haven't looked back ever since.
And yes, I am proud to call myself an American.

Good ridins to any Anti-Canadian American want a be. It takes more guts to stand as a Canadian then run away and become an American or any other nationality for that matter.

I would never turn my back on my Country like some sort of coward for this is my Country of birth good or bad I will stand and fight to make it a better nation and an shining example of a what a Country should stand for in this World.

Canada is a country that believes in freedom, justice, liberty and the rule of law. Over it existence Canada has defended these beliefs on behalf of others that could no longer or were un-able to defend themselves as well as defending itself from attacks and invasion from the United States of America. Canada has stood up to be counted on the international stage, in the Political arena, at the United Nations, Peace Keeping and yes in the sacrifice of lives in these areas as well as in past wars. There is no shame to hang on Canada by anyone in this world for inaction when call upon to act justly, within the rule of law and without violating peoples rights.

Rosa Parks was a communist and Canada is a facist state. Canadians are 'see no evil, hear no evil' hide in the sand Ostriches. The world is changing right before your eyes and there is nothing you can do about it. You sound just like these 'patriots' in America who talk the big talk about how they would fight for the country and yaddah, yaddah. Obviously, in your case 100%, and not two thirds, of your perception and your reality is fantasy.

There is shame, and plenty of it, when Canadians parade their self-percieved smug superiority, which only serves to cover up the fact that Canada CANNOT act, in any meaningful way.

Ya, real proud, eh? Remember Rwanda, anyone? Took a bigger bite of reality than you could handle, eh?

No wonder the rest of the world pisses on your collective leg.

Get back to chopping trees, digging rocks, and carrying water, Canada. You'll be paid for your labor, and can continue to exist in your pretend socialist utopia.

Leave the real world to those who can deal with it.

"Leave the real world to those who can deal with it." Like the tough job of posting 'anonymously' on a Canadian politics site? You're dealing with reality very well. Just as your president is coping with being an anonymous president.

Yes I am an ex-Canuck and now a PROUD U.S. citizen.

In fact, I am so dedicated to preserving America and its ideals, and what it stands for, that I enlisted in the U.S. Army 2 years ago.

As I took my solemn pledge to defend American, I smiled knowing that never again would I have to endure the embarrassment of calling myself a Canadian.

No regrets about voting for Bush, becoming a U.S. citizen or leaving Canada.

You think everyone wants to come to Canada??
Perhaps you should hear the stories of people fleeing Canada....

It was Americans in charged of the UN Security Council at the time that refused to take action and assist our troops. Thanks.

And so I choose to live by a weapon.

And so I choose to die by a weapon.

    Perhaps that annoys you?
Perhaps you can't bear to stand the thought that there are Americans willing to sacrifice their lives for other Americans?

Oh right, you must be Canadian.

  11. Tue Nov 01, 2005 4:18 pm
    I am an American.

Canadians and the rest of the world may despise us.

But you cannot take away the fact that I am an American.

    You may loathe our military.

But you cannot deny that they are Americans.

You may hate G.W. Bush. He stills remains American.

You may hate the U.S. flag. It still belongs to the American people.

This is America. Try as you might, you can never take that away.

    An American Patriot. Always.

    What's the matter Canadians?

Can't bear to stand the fact that Americans love their country more than Canadians ever could love Canada?

    Canada.

    Isn't that an oxymoron?

    Shouldn't it be Cannotda?

    or Can'tda?

How come you didn't sign up?

They could have used you as IED bait.
We could use a lot of Canuks in Iraq right now.

Just send them over, and we'll strap them to our hummvees and tanks as armor.
