Canada, U.S. Share Longest 'secure' Border In World: Ambassador Wilson

Posted on Friday, March 30 at 08:54 by jensonj
"While we once proudly said that the Canada-U.S. border was 'the longest undefended border in the world', now we really should be saying 'We share the longest secure border in the world'," he said. Some people think the border should be a checkpoint, but most Canadians and Americans see it as a gateway, Wilson said. http://www.680news.com/news/international/article.jsp?content=w032966A

In order to have a "legitimate flow of people and trade", there needs to be an overall recognition that "legitimacy" is based on two different legal systems.

The much needed "common ground" is not to be sought or found in a one-way street called "accommodation", because that would be the starting point of losing Canadian sovereignty.

Methinks sometimes this has been lost already.

"Some people think the border should be a checkpoint, but most Canadians and Americans see it as a gateway, Wilson said."

... and the rest of us see it as unnecessary government control for its own end.

Coming soon to a border near you: NAU passport and citizenship card, complete with biometrics, bioimplants, and a "no cross border" list to tidy it all up.

Anything ambassadors say should not be taken at face value.

    Ever.

    No exceptions.

Righto, deacon, there is a hidden agenda that ambassadors are instructed not to talk about.
