"Today we've talked about things that really matter to the lives of Canadians and Mexicans and Americans," Secretary Rice said at a February 23 joint press conference. "We've talked about how to meet public health problems, how to resolve environmental threats, how to respond to natural disasters, how to secure dependable supplies of clean energy and how to combat criminal organizations." http://media-newswire.com/release_1044327.html

This is the standard our elected and not so elected (CCCE) would take us to.<br />

If we want to raise the bar on our lives, Canada needs to be the country calling the shots here and we had better make certain we elect people that will take that postion seriously. <p>---<br>"And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music." If this is so good for the people, why aren't the people invited to discuss? We
are once again being told 'we know what's best for you' and we are suppose
    to trust 'them'.

We can see how much prosperity the people have gained due to Free Trade,
and security is such an interesting concept! Prosperity and security for the
corporations to rule hardly seems 'good' for the people of these three
    nations.

But if these deals are so great , it seems we should be at the table, we should
have this information clearly at our disposal so we can debate, discuss and
consider all factors involved. Rather than continually telling us that the deal is
not what we think it is, why not let us in on the meetings prior to a firm
decision being made? After all we are more than capable of reading between
the lines, so it seems obvious we could read the actual text.
