Russia: Moscow Lashes Out At U.S. National Strategy

Posted on Wednesday, March 22 at 10:12 by jensonj
'Populist Scorn' Russia responded by pouring scorn on the document in a tough-worded communique released by the Foreign Ministry on 20 March. Markov says Russia is interested in a strategic partnership with the United States. But Washington must show respect for Russia's other bilateral relations, particularly with former Soviet states. "Should we understand this means that in the immediate future U.S.-Russian relations face far from the best of times?" the statement reads. "One cannot escape the impression that [Washington] is using populist slogans in its own interests." http://www.rferl.org/featuresarticle/2006/03/ab38e61e-2980-44d3-9e15-ee36e0e882be.html

    Good.
Russia does need to be watched right now, and it's media has been locked down, reporters beaten and Putin is on record as missing the good ol' Soviet empire.
Nothing to worry about if they have the same goals in mind, so no reason not to state their position.
    Go America!

The Americans still use the words "commie & Red" First words from Rice and Bush to the newly Elected Pulin, was as to how he must adapt the American form of Democracy. If Russia and China were less supportive, Iran would be in the same situation as Iraq. Bush and Rice have already announced millions are to be spent on their propaganda inside Iran. They refer to this as "negotiating". The US National Strategy.

So? Officially Bush and Putin get along with each other, it's not like that harmed relations, but when a nation has reporters getting disappeared and beaten, and has bought up all its freemedia someone had better say something to them.

As apposed to the Patriot Act? Who has said anything to them (the Americans) when people are rushed from country to country cloked as suspected terrorists. No "prisoner of war" but another definition to hold people without trial or charges and for the rest of their lives. Invasions of foreign countries and maintaining control by kicking down the doors of it's citizens. Forcefull detention and removing the rights of citizens in their own country is very much American.

Yet oddly enough under this tyrannical American regime everyone and their brother has been able to freely criticize the terrorist act and faced no reprisal.
Again, you can't diminish an American act because you don't support one of their policies. Jimi Hendrix dodged the draft but that doesn't mean he wasn't a hero with a guitar, and Gandhi went to law school but that doesn't mean he didn't love mankind.

The point I'm making is, that only westerners fall under your term "everyone and their brother". Defy the invaders and become labeled as an insurgent. Hendrix didn't have the door of his home kicked in. Cat Stevens was refused entry to the US & Mohamid Ali was Catus Clay. Draft dodgers and now even the listed, are running to Canada for protection. Canadians are now slowly realizing that the Americans are flushing out those they find undesirable, in Canada itself. In contradiction, westerners are not all that free either.

That umm...didn't seem to make a whole lot of sense, and I'm pretty sure the Patriot Act is a domestic act. Also, I recall several times seeing people overseas protesting the war in Iraq and jumping on Bush dolls etc etc and I never saw them descended upon by an apache. Pretty much see absolutely no censorship of the media or free speech going on...Unless they're censoring speed boats. I don't see too many of those on TV anymore.
I also really don't see how we're taking their undesirables. Draftees? I also don't remember anyone being drafted...Enlisted men might flee, and you are right to call them undesirables, it's not like they ought to have been surprised when someone told them to fight.
And really, look at everything that's on this website. No one's afraid of Uncle Sam kicking in their door. Even if I were to say Al Queda, airplane, pentagon, infidel, and jihad all in one sentence, I'm still not afraid.
And protesting the occupation will not get you classified as an insurgent. Using IEDs to kill American soliders (and dozens more Iraqis) to protest the war will get you classified as an insurgent, and I'd say rightfully so.

It certainly is and that don't indicate "freedom".

    I also don't remember anyone being drafted...<<

You are very, very young and realy not in touch. Funny you should bring up J H from the same era.

No one's afraid of Uncle Sam kicking in their door<<

Very out of touch. Someday you may eventualy hear of places called Iraq, Afghanistan and Chili. Perhaps Iran will be warmer on your plate, once the Iranians defy the American Lord.

That umm...didn't seem to make a whole lot of sense<<

    Understandably, in your world!
