Harper Talks Security With Bush

Part of that, he said, would include establishing a new independent commissioner to oversee security and intelligence forces, similar to a U.S. move to unite those agencies under one director. "It's our general observation that there has been a lack of co-ordination of security resources and security messages from Canada," said Harper. "There clearly are co-ordination problems and there were elements of that in the (Maher) Arar case." http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Politics/2005/07/19/pf-1138708.html

I don’t remember Harper being elected Prime Minister or appointed Chief of Security? So why is he talking to George Bush (President of the United States of America) about Canadian and North American Security.

Doesn’t it seem unnerving that a politician that has not been elected to represent the Canadian People as a whole or the Country of Canada in Canada has such easy accesses to the President of the United States of America that is so, so busy that it takes a week for him at most times to get back to the Prime Minister of Canada when he phones?

Also, why is there such interest in Mr Harper as in regards to the next Canadian Election by the White House and its Administration?

"Doesn’t it seem unnerving that a politician that has not been elected to represent the Canadian People as a whole"

Albertans say the same thing whenever PM Martin open's his mouth.

Most Albertans are transposed Canadian Easterners anyways!

Canada is a Democracy which means the Majority rules.

Even if you went back East your vote still would not of mattered any more then it does now.

In fact the majority of Canadians in this Democracy called Canada still didn't vot for the Conservative Party or should I say Reform Party in anyway shape or form including the Business Executives in Toronto of the Firms of the Canadian owners living in Edmonton!

"Canada is a Democracy which means the Majority rules."

Kind of an odd thing for a left winger to say isn't it? The majority rules arguments works well for the left when it is in their favor but when it comes to a item that is not in their favor...the minority rules. Last time I checked the majority of people did not want same sex marriage yet it was implemented anyway.

"the Firms of the Canadian owners living in Edmonton!"

Actually there is only one Liberal MP in Edmonton (or in Alberta) and she only won by a few votes. I hardly would say thats a majority of the Edmontonians vote.

Then you should be starting or joining new political parties that the majority of Canadians want. Canadians don't want the Republican Party of Canada led by that idiot Harper who would rather have Canada be the U.S. 51st state. Most vote Liberal because there is no CREDIBLE alternative, but the Liberals are just as bad as the neo-cons,selling us out to that country to the south. The only other party which is somewhat respectable is the NDP but they are too far to the left. The conservatives and Liberals are both right wing parties with the neo-cons on the extreme right. The majority of people in this country want a party in the centre. The liberals are no longer a centre party and the conservatives are no longer right of centre. What Canada needs is a revolution to take our country back from the traitors who hold power. These people are Vichy Canadians no different from those in Vichy France during the second world war.

Tell me what the difference is between Harper, unelected as Pm discussing our security with the U.S. president, and the Tri-lateral Task force made up of unelected anywhere, business elites, corporate multinational people telling us all what security we need, what regulations to enforce, influencing both government and WTO, etc.? Governments are elected by the people, but in reality that is where our influence, or our needs, wants, desires end!

The word democracy has been used to define something which we don't have, freedom and security are all relative to the corporate agenda. Bush doesn't talk to Martin, because he doesn't need to, he has Manley in the trenches, and Harper will be trying to get the big money behind him for the next election. I think Harper has more in common with the Bush agenda, and Martin, may not agree, but seems to be going along for the ride!

"Last time I checked the majority of people did not want same sex marriage yet it was implemented anyway."

    Where did you see this?

Every poll taken showed the majority of Canadians nationally saw no problem with it. That is why Harper dropped the issue. There was not enough national support except with religious and self interest groups. Which fortunally don't make up the majority.

Also since you seem to have a problem with this law maybe you can explain why the followers of Catholic Religion did not make as much fuss about Preists abusing children as they did about this law?

I hope your CAP party can make a difference and stop what is going on. Good Luck.
