?Bake Sales for Democracy? to Defeat Bush
Contrasts with President?s Big Money Donors

?Brownie, $1. Cookies, $2. Defeating George Bush? Priceless.?

WASHINGTON - April 14 - MoveOn members in towns across the country will hold a ?Bake Sale for Democracy? fundraiser this Saturday to benefit MoveOn PAC?s effort to unseat the sitting President. The event, which could set a Guinness World Record for ?World?s Largest Bake Sale,? will consist of 1,000 simultaneous local bake sales taking place nationwide, hosted by more than 10,000 MoveOn bakers.

The event is meant to contrast with the Bush-Cheney campaign?s $95 million in the form of $2,000 bundled checks from high-rolling CEO?s and lobbyists, such as drug industry top gun, Pfizer CEO and Bush ?Ranger,? Hank McKinnell. McKinnell alone has pledged to raise and bundle $200,000 for the Bush campaign.

?Baked goods are tastier in battleground states!?

I think either U.S. campaign law or MoveOn's policies limit what Canadians can do for them -- why don't y'all go and form a Canadian verison of MoveOn?
