George Carlin - Who Really Controls America

Like I have always said; we are asleep.

George is not funny anymore. Just honest.

He talks of consumption as being the number one past time. So true but it is us who are the consumers. It is we who demand the newest even when we haven't paid for the old one. We gaze into the advertising media with a glassy look and say "we have to have it".

People with the big money do own us and we don't have a say. Or do we? Our demands are what the governments and corporations WANT to hear. They give it to us at a price. We slowly sell ourselves down the river just to get what we THINK we need. Few people are willing to stand up on their own two feet and fend for ourslves. To many of us demand others take care of us. Should it be a secure job, better roads or the newest Toyota. Someone else has to enable it inorder for our dream to be filled. No one seems to conceive that we have to give more to get so little but we still demand more. My signature says it all.

I've always liked Carlin, ever since I first heard him back in 7th grade at a friends place, the album playing on his dad's record player.

The laugh's he gets now are the defiant "f*ck you" to those who would be our masters. You know the people I mean:

the politicians who close our schools so that each succeeding generation has less and less chance of advancement, their purpose apparently being "keep them dumb and keep them in their roper place".

the unholy alliance of political, corporate and military interests whose sole purpose in the seizing of every square inch of ground on earth, and the resources in and on said ground.

I for one would absolutely LOVE to see Carlin in a debate with ANY US politicians you care to name.

he'd kick their asses so hard they'd fly around their shoulders three times before ending up on their chests as an apparent boob job.

Simply put, George uses the truth as his weapon, and for that George just f*cking rules.
