An Apology To The World

Please understand- there were at least 55,436,312 people who did not vote for George W Bush; 49% of the voting population. We donated money, we hung signs, we knocked on doors, we registered young people, we turned out record numbers to vote. But in the end, it turned out that a majority of American voters preferred warm-fuzzy lies over cold-hard truth. Bush aides accused their detractors of being members of a "reality-based community," a statement which might imply to some that Bush is part of a "delusion-based community." Please know that those of us living in reality based communities all across America were likely as shocked as you to learn that we were outnumbered by 4 million delusional crazies. So to other nations, we say "sorry." Sorry that we elected ignorance, arrogance, and greed over intelligence, civil liberty, and peace. Sorry that we elected a failure of a man who could not name a single mistake he had made and can not speak his own native language. ("Is our children learning?") Sorry we have pushed you away. Sorry we pretended like we were the only country on the earth that could make decisions. As we proved November 2, 2004, we're not very good at that. It's been a growing problem of ours since November 6th of 2000. There was a time when America served as a symbol of hope, strength, and freedom in the world. To the world we say do not lose hope in us. Together we can make change a reality. It will be a bumpy ride, we know. Still, we are all God's children, and we all share this wonderful planet. George W Bush doesn't understand these things. But in four years, it won't matter because we are going to take back our country and everyday between now and then we will work to restore your faith in us. To the 56 million voters who cast their ballots for John Kerry : Do not buy into the idea of a silent minority. Instead, believe in a loud, mobilized, educated electorate. There is a battle being fought on our own soil. Let this be a call to arms of progressive principle and activism. Do not let it dishearten you. Stand up and speak out for your ideals and our future. We have come too far in the last 234 years to start moving backwards now. To our military veterens, their families, and our soilders serving around the world, we honor you. We honor your sacrifice and unwavering patriotism. To the rest of America, remember : love of country is a wonderful thing. But why should love stop at the border? As I understand it, you were hoodwinked, see Bev Harris and Votergate for details. Bev Harris and the clean up crew at Black Box Voting are tabulating votes from a massive FOIA action and examining evidence of fraud on a nation wide scale. They are faced with a massive refusal by the corporat media to look at the evidence. The corporats have taken over elections in your country and if you don't fix it now you won't have to worry about four years from now. So stop apologizing and check out the scene at Black Box Voting, take your country back from the skull & bones bunch. And if there is anything I can do to help (being a Canadian) please let me know.

People too spineless to at least assign a user name to make comments are a sad fact on this site. Above apology accepted and condolensces that you have to suffer for another four years of an intellectual midget.

Bush won. Kerry lost because he didn't give anyone a reason to vote for him. No one but wild conspiracy theorists believe that there was some kind of massive voter fraud. The arrogance of the losers such as the author of this apology is astounding, they just can't seem to accept that they're not getting their own way so now they think democracy sucks.

Um there's a *lot* of evidence that the electronic voting machines used were either faulty or tampered with. Apparently you can change the outcome of the election in 30 seconds using Excel on a diebold tabulator, which is just an ordinary MS windows computer. www.votergate.tv supposedly has a demo; I haven't watched it just yet (still downloading).

Your right for once anon.

There was no reason to vote for Kerry. Or Bush. Nader was the man, and that's the fact that you will have to deal with as countries stop trading oil in USD, due to the overwhelming ignorance that surrounds North America, and any other country with a 'two party' system.

Go home, Quisling boy. You're not funny anymore.
Bush couldn't get elected dog-catcher unless he was cheating somehow,
wouldn't be in character.
Remember Tricky Dicky? Won re-election in a landslide but cheated anyway.
Such was his nature, he could hardly do otherwise.
Doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure Emperor Curious out.
But you're not very smart, are you?
Are you as tough as you think you are?

It shows what a pathetic little partisan you are that you need to apologize to "whom?" - to all those countries we protect, give $$$ in aid, open our borders to millions of legal and illegal their citizens, open our pockets after paying taxes and give more in philanthropy and charities as individual citizens, pay with blood to keep the world from being overrun from facists, terrorists and thugs... A confident and proud American does not need the validation from the world, particularly Euro. And especially for its citizens who exercise their right to self-determination in the greatest democracy on the planet. I am an American because my family fled a tyrannical communist Cuba- howver you probably feel more at home there with a favorite dictator of the american and euro left!
