NAFTA Is A Sham !

Twice Canada has won a victory against the US on the issue of softwood lumber, and twice the US wants to either ignore the decision or renegotiate the lumber agreement.

They owe us $2 Billion dollars and they apparently will do anything to not lose in this decision.

Today, the Toronto Star has finally said in print what Canadians all should know, that NAFTA is a one-way trade agreement for the US. We will very rarely benefit from this agreement.

    All it was about is privatization of Canada enforced through chapter 11.

    Canada could and should apply the GST to exports of oil, natural gas, electric power, pulp, paper, lumber, grain, livestock and then wait for the lobbyists to do their thing in Ottawa instead of Washington. Any politicians with the fortitude do do this in spite of NAFTA & WTO rulings which the U.S. ignores as it pleases? Tit for tat?
