Layton Launches An Internet Campaign!

Visit http://www.flyourflag.ca or www.drapeauavendre.ca to take part in the Layton campaign, which asks which flag you think Martin will fly from the Peace Tower when he becomes Prime Minister--because much like on his ships, the NDP guesses it won't be the Canadian flag (you don't need to be a member of the NDP to vote).

This could mean that Layton may have a chance to marshall a kind of $$ and excitement here that hasn't been seen yet (if played right)--and kudos to him for realizing what a potentially fantastic organizing tool the Internet is--I personally believe it's revolutionizing politics the way TV once did.

Note: launching an internet c... officially launched http://www.flyourflag.ca www.drapeauavendre.ca

The article says they are hoping Layton can take the party back to it\'s glory days, I am a little more optimistic, I hope they can bring Canada back to it\'s glory days and improve on that!

What party ever had an incentive that was good for Canada?

Woops , I think you mean what party ever had any good Initiative, that was good for Canada. I know that is what you meant. I agree with you .

Checked out the campaign and it is good, nice articles on Martin, nice very nice! Nothing like information to really make you want to vote, when do the polls open? Oh Oh, no voting for Martin, just an ole shoe in, eh

I was watching an interesting CPAC interview with youth from four political parties, NDP, Liberal, PC and Alliance. The NDP rep, was well informed and pointed out that while these other groups were spending all their time fighting, the NDP was working on creating policy! When the interviewer asked the Liberal rep what Martin was going to do for the youth, she said she would have to consult him, before she could answer. Sad, but a reflection of the double talk we\'ve been hearing, I mean what are his policies, what are his objectives? So far he has said nothing concrete and therefore his poor youth rep had no argument.

The thing is, few know about this \"Martin\" character. I think it\'s been
his priority to keep quiet until in office.

But that Internet campaign, it seems derivative of an article printed
in the Walrus. I don\'t mean that as an insult--if you haven\'t heard of
it yet, the Walrus a new glossy & thoughtful Canadian monthly that
had its debut late last month, with the lengthy cover article \"Inside
Paul Martin\'s Empire,\" by Marci MacDonald covering very much
what the NDP campaign is trying to publicise. It certainly helped
me refine my stance on Martin, one I think a few of us here share.

If you care for supporting great Canadian jouralism, pick up a
copy, and if you care for learning what\'s behind the Martin
forehead, pick up a copy. And I don\'t mean \"great Canadian
    journalism\" in a MacLean\'s sense--this thing is actually alive.

Where can a person get this magazine, Walrus, looked it up on the net and can\'t find it, is it in stores across Canada? I would be interested in reading something with some substance, maybe even truth!

They claim to have had some distribution problems for the first
issue, but www.walrusmagazine.ca is their URL, and it should be
at any Chapters, Indigo, or favourite independent magazine stand.
