The US And Iran: Is Washington Planning A Military Strike ?

Posted on Wednesday, January 04 at 08:17 by Ed Deak
DDP also reported that the governments of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Oman and Pakistan have been informed in recent weeks of Washington's military plans. The countries, apparently, were told that air strikes were a "possible option," but they were given no specific timeframe for the operations. http://service.spiegel.de/cache/international/0,1518,392783,00.html

Rumor has it that Iran will start their own oil exchange. They will no longer go through New York or London. They will not accept US dollars as payment for their oil as of March,2006. Rumor has it that the US will cease to report the M3 monetary supply as of March, 2006. Rumor has it that Venezuala and China and Russia and India are looking favorably on the Iranian initiative. Rumor has it that the last country that refused to sell their oil for US dollars was spindled, strangled, mutilated and finally liberated from the great burden of selling their natural resources.

I hope the USA will not attack Iran.

"I hope the USA will not attack Iran."

I on the other hand disagree. Not for the reasons you cite, but because the Iranian President has shown the world that he should not be in possesion of Nuclear Weapons.

I think Isreal's strike on Iraq's nuclear program was along the same lines, and Iran had the forsight to bury their program deep underground. To me, this says they intend to persue a weapons program, not just peaceful nuclear power. Perhaps I'm wrong. But I doubt it.

I doubt you are wrong. That a-hole in Iran was publically stating how he hoped Sharon would die yesterday.

maybe the EU "forces"? They are 1 for 1 in that Serb raid. Seriously though, come on, the world can't take a pee without US involvement. Even that nutjob in North Korea has to try to draw in the US to get attention, and they are right next to Russia and China. Maybe Israel will have to act once the Iranians test their first nuke (ah...I mean power plant), but as pointed out this isn't Saddam's sitting duck Osirak nuke plant. It is more scattered and hidden.

Lets try to remember what country has used nuclear weapons against civilian populations. In fact, lets try to remember that the leader of the gang of countries slinging radiation willy nilly around the world has the audacity to accuse other countries of doing what it is doing and then threatens to unleash a nuclear preemptive attack against them. Don't talk to me about injustices committed in Iran unless you want to detail the injustices committed by the US and Britain and Israel and France and Canada and Australia and the rest of the Gang of Eight.

    Eyerolls...

    >> and then threatens to unleash a nuclear preemptive attack against them.<<<

    Who did that? When?

    >> . Don't talk to me about injustices committed in Iran<<<

Sorry, I didn't know my voice carried to the kiddy table...

    >>unless you want to detail the injustices committed by the US and Britain and Israel and France and Canada and Australia and the rest of the Gang of Eight.<<<

Whatever all that means... I guess that means you think it is OK for Iran to have an Atomic bomb… I guess that makes you nuts.

And don't talk to me about anything if you think the free and democratic nations mentioned above, bare any semblance to what goes on in Iran. Trying to draw correlations where none exists, otherwise known as "moral equivalency" of any entity calling itself a nation may play well at the UN, but not avec moi.

Maybe you should try visiting Iran, perhaps keep an internet diary of what you witness, we'll see how long you last.....They do have the internet in Iran don't they?

    :-D

    >> Maybe Israel will have to act once the Iranians test their first nuke (ah...I mean power plant),<<<

That is probably what it will have to come down to. I think that Netanyahu will be that next PM, if that is so there will probably be some kind of raid after the EU appeasement bs falls flat. I have a really bad feeling about this one. It could end up involving the whole region if not the world.

    >> but as pointed out this isn't Saddam's sitting duck Osirak nuke plant.<<

And the Russians are busy selling Iran the latest surface to air missiles… as well as the reactors in the first place.

That Osirak raid was a beautiful piece of flying by the way. They were able to fly in under the radar and pack 8, 500lb unguided bombs into about a 15 foot radius >underneath< a concrete overhang and then bring all the planes back home. (All before sundown on a Friday. ;-) )

Osirak was beautiful. Well put. No wonder Saddam was sending scud missiles into Israel during his brief Kuwait forray. Not only was he trying to split the coaltion forces, but he was also trying to get some payback. Poor Saddam - now he has no palaces and only an orange jumpsuit.

Another IDF beaut was the raid on Entebbe. Palestenian terrorists hi-jack a plane full of jews and Israeli's. They then fly deep into Africa to a friendly Ugandan dictator thinking it was out of range for rescue. They were wrong.
