Former U.S. National Security Adviser Warns That Bush Is Seeking A Pretext For A

Posted on Friday, February 02 at 09:20 by BC Mary
Brzezinski derided Bush’s talk of a “decisive ideological struggle” against radical Islam as “simplistic and demagogic,” and called it a “mythical historical narrative” employed to justify a “protracted and potentially expanding war.” “To argue that America is already at war in the region with a wider Islamic threat, of which Iran is the epicenter, is to promote a self-fulfilling prophecy,” he said. Most stunning and disturbing was his description of a “plausible scenario for a military collision with Iran.” It would, he suggested, involve “Iraqi failure to meet the benchmarks, followed by accusations of Iranian responsibility for the failure, then by some provocation in Iraq or a terrorist act in the US blamed on Iran, culminating in a ‘defensive’ US military action against Iran that plunges a lonely America into a spreading and deepening quagmire eventually ranging across Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan.” This was an unmistakable warning to the US Congress, replete with quotation marks to discount the “defensive” nature of such military action, that the Bush administration is seeking a pretext for an attack on Iran. Although he did not explicitly say so, Brzezinski came close to suggesting that the White House was capable of manufacturing a provocation--including a possible terrorist attack within the US--to provide the casus belli for war. Zbigniew Brzezinskiis is only stating what the rest of the world suspects. It's only a matter of when and with whom, the USA will strike. They have been goading Iran as fierce as they can. One would think there is a schedule envolved.

I have no doubt a schedule is involved. I am very curious as to what excuse the Canadian government will use to help the US bomb Iran. Perhaps Bush will choke to death on a pretzel and Cheney's heart will finally give out before this stupidity can begin.

The same thing happened with Iraq, but in this case they don't have enough professional troops or enough public support to enable forced conscription for a long term land invasion, so whatever they have planned will likely involve aerial bombing runs, perhaps nukes if they are wacked out insane enough (and unfortunately the current US regime seems sufficiently wacked out insane for it). It's possible that another 9/11 type of false flag attack may be in the works if the war planners think public support is needed.

In the case of Iraq, the country was completely defensless when it was invaded (same with Afghanistan). The war against Iraq took something like 13 years of bombing runs and impoverishing isolation before the final invasion took place, and even after all of that punishment, the US military still cannot pacify the country and assume full control.

In the case of Iran, both China and Russia have considerable investments in the country, so to stop these two countries from getting involved and supporting the Iranians will require some very expensive backroom deals, much more expensive than the deals that were made prior to the Iraq invasion. The hold up probably has to do with getting final agreements in place. Since they already have two aircraft carriers in the region, and the media campaign and small false flag ops have already begun, I assume there's some confindence in the US regime that a war is expected to go ahead.

I'm not sure what if anything can stop these madmen from attempting to follow through with an attack, as they seem to have an endless supply of bombs and enough planes and pilots to do the job.

I only hope China and Russia has armed the Iranians with sufficiently modern defensive anti-aircraft weapons.

Images of Iran you will not see on the MSM.

    >>..if they are wacked out insane enough..<<

The last "friendly fire" was discribed as being done by "rouge pilots". The USA has just enough of them to start things off.

I'm sure Harper is working on the speech already. Bush had once told him "to tell" the citizens of Canada. Harper is telling us now, as to how he respects anyone else's opinion. The Reserves are being introduced to a new contract as well. Presently, they have to volunteer for duty in Afghanistan. The new contract will guarantee their jobs when they get back and consequently can be sent anywhere as part of their duty. An increase of available troops is already coming.
