Immigrants Protest Deportation Of Non-Status Workers

As a refugee claimant, Aranga's passport is now in the hands of Immigration Canada while he awaits a hearing to get refugee status. "They said 'Show me your passport right away,"' Haranga said. "While I was searching for my ID, they were looking around my room." Aranga was joined by about 1,000 other immigrants, refugees and their supporters who demonstrated in Toronto on Saturday to protest the deportations of illegal workers. Protests were also held in Vancouver, Ottawa, Montreal and Fredericton to demand the federal government immediately grant permanent resident or landed immigrant status to all illegal workers, estimated at 500,000 across the country by the protests' organizers, with 80,000 in the Toronto area. They were rude and impatient? They "looked around my room". How dreadful. We should mandate that our Immigration officials bring coffee and bagels to these investigations. Did they arrest him? No. Why? Because he was able to produce his ID and show that he was not the previous tenant. And what is with this melodramatic "burst in" stuff? They were let in by his roomate. Hardly bursting. Is this the worst case they could find of our authoritarian Immigration officials. Rude and impatient? I know, that's hardly Canadian... but please, let's have some torture or beatings or something if we are going to lament the state of affairs.

BTW, why is a Mexican claiming refugee status anyways? He's fleeing political persecution? Is he a Zapitista? That would be legit. Hopefully he was not taken in by the "immigration consultants" who advocate that people place false refugee claims... and then get sent back after they set up a decent life here. Like what is happening with the Portugese making the papers of late. 4-5 years here and they finally get their hearing at which time their claim is rejected (appropriately) and they are deported. That backlogs our system and it messes with these people's lives. They should arrest the pinheads consulting these people for fraud or something.

Why don't these people just make a proper application for immigration? Are they trying to hide something, are they ignorant of the process, or are they to busy to bother with the process of the country they wanted to come to? They wouldn't be illegal then. And why on earth should we give a blanket ammnesty to a bunch of people who jumped the queue? There is a process they could have followed. If they didn't, they should be tossed. The reason we have a process is so we can weed out people we don't want here. Our laws are so promiscuous, that the only people that should be worried are people who have absolutely nothing to offer or people with some sort of criminal past.

Another question. Why can't lefties and protesters count? 700 protesters turns into 1000, and 200K of illegals turns into 500K. (I don't believe I'm quoting numbers from the Star to back myself up).
This is similar to the article I submitted to the Immigration section.

    The woman in the article claims that she is Canadian because "I have lived in Canada for 5 years" and "this is my home". She was here under the table for 5 years. Citizenship should be earned, not granted. The Liberal approach is to surrender.

    I CAN'T BELIEVE the sense of entitlenment these people are allowes to have. The Costa Rican women whines that if she had to return to Costa Rica she "doesn't know wha twould happen to her". Is that our problem? Isn't life unpredictable for everyone to a degree? Costa Rica is not a terribly dangerous place. That said, if immigrats are afraid of being deported to their dangerous former countries, then DON'T COMPLAIN when you are subjected to a minor search if your former country is that much more dangerous. Good grief. If you want to be treated well-don't break the goddam law!!!

    WAKE UP PEOPLE!! Read this article and read mine in the Immigration section. Hundreds of people (many brainwashed liberal idiots) think our law should be flaunted and broken. They want to reward criminals will permanent residence or landed immigrant status which will eventually make them Canadian citizens.

    NDP MP Olivia Chow attends the Toronto protest of the brain dead and of course sides with the invasion. There you go Susan--the wife of your dear leader Mr. Layton thinks any illegal immigrant should be allowed to replace us.

    Our birt rate is low so why not just give full citizenship to any illegal so they can replace us??? Our population would quickly swell to 500 million as the 3rd world learns that we are chumps. {roll}

    “Our population would quickly swell to 500 million as the 3rd world learns that we are chumps.”

    Too late, they already know and it started in haste once the Singh decision was handed down in 1985. These illegal immigrants as well as the many bogus refugee claimants arriving at our airports are coached on how to get into Canada and what to say to officials. For instance, I caught Daniel Stoffman on TVO’s studio 2 program hosted by Steve Paiken a few years back (I assume he was promoting his book “Who Get’s In?” which I highly recommend). He spoke, anecdotally mind you, of the encounters some immigration officials had with Tamil refugee claimants. The immigration officials noticed that they kept getting the same story over and over again from each succeeding Tamil refugee claimant. The Geneva Convention on refugees allows a receiving country the right to turn away refugees if internal flight is available to them. It is an option Canada rarely uses. This option is open to Tamils since there are areas in the country where they constitute more than a third of the population and in some instances, as in parts in the capitol city of Colombo, they make up about half the population. Since most of the fighting is concentrated in the north east of the country Colombo is a safe area because it is located in the south west of the country. So these Tamils kept saying that the capital city of Colombo was not safe either. The Canadian immigration officials looked into the state of Colombo and realized they were being lied to. Once they stopped accepting that story another story popped up “literally overnight” as Stoffman put it. Now Canada can boast that it is home to almost half of the Tamils living outside of Sri Lanka world wide and Sri Lanka still ranks in the top five of refugee producing countries to Canada: a position it has held for almost twenty years. They know a sucker when they see one.

    Another example is the Sikh landing in Nova Soctia in 1986. They were all men except for one woman. They had no identification and claimed they sailed to Canada directly from India because Canada would not accept them as refugees otherwise. It turns out these men charted the boat in Germany and sailed from there. This was an organized immigration scam by Sikhs yet Mulroney rewards their criminal behaviour with citizenship.

    Another example is Honduran refugee claimants in B.C. They are really drug traffickers exploiting our system and peddle drugs while their case is to be heard. They don’t expect to get refugee status but to sell as much product as their time here allows.

    Illegal immigrants and bogus refugees know how to cheat the system and are coached on how to do it and there is an army of immigration lawyers/human traffickers waiting and willing to help them via our exploitable immigration laws the helped write. And when we point out that mostly non-convention refugees are entering the country and not legitimate refugees we are called racists. Pakistan, India and China are among the top immigrant producing countries to Canada. They are also in the top ten refugee producing countries as well. Wonder why that is?

    Most letters to the editor in the T.O. Star concerning the deportations favour the deportations. And what are they protesting anyway? Should thieves and murderers protest their arrests and incarcerations?

    Well what do you expect? though gh doesn't believe what he is saying, Chretien the internationalist puppet was sent to Pakistan to BEG for the release of Ahmed Khadr who was later killed in a shootout with Pakistani police. Chretien promptly allowed his son to come to Canada right away for free medical care to treat his injury and there was a video account of this on CBC. This included a feisty old lady yell at Khadr for being a freeloader. they interviewed the Khadr women referring to suicide bomber murderers as "heroes" and claiming they didn't want their children to be influenced by Canada lest they "would become homosexuals and start doing drugs".

    If Chretien can be a whore like this, why wouldn't Mulroney?

    Of course the Canadian taxpayer likely pays the immigration lawyer parasites of whom I have met some not even out of law school yet who passionately defend the charter of rights and are usually not minorities but whine U of T law school doesn't have a diverse enough set of professors.
