The so-called "Democrats" in the US are rapidly losing any credibility as the alternative to the governing "Republicans", when neither party cares to address the Katrina/New Orleans fiasco, going on TWO YEARS after that storm. The US military budget is approaching $1.5 billion PER DAY. 1/3 of one percent (one day's spending for the military) would go a long way.
But this seems to have dropped off the political radar..........I wonder where the fingers will point when the much predicted heavy storm season arrives in the Carribbean....?
