PC's Not Dead - Yet

Jean Chretien takes credit for winning 3 majority's in a row, but he did it every 3 1/2 years, when he saw the opposition had no chance. Do you not think Martin will take advantage of this ?? You bet. He's a politician, right ?? Politicians take advantage of situations that present themselves. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. In Grey-Bruce-Owen Sound, the Riding President could be Cheryl Ann Meagher of Owen Sound, a Social Democrat and former David Orchard organizer in the area, the Riding Vice-President could be Milan Radan of Durham, a Social Democrat and past Canadian Democratic Movement supporter in the region, the Riding Candidate could be John H. Long of Hanover, a Red Tory, former Progressive Conservative leadership candidate for in 1993 and founder of the Common Sense People's Party of Ontario, and the Youth President could be Joshua E. Eriksen of Chatsworth, a Classic Conservative and past chair of the John A. MacDonald Tories wing in the OPCYA. The only concern I have is the name Progressive Canadian, I truly wish we could retain the old name Progressive Conservative and run an election under the PCPC banner as in their home riding's leader John Diefenbaker did. We just want to run a progressive, common sense, not neo-conservative alternative to the Liberals who are 100% Pro-Canadian, that's it and that's all! Whichever group/campaign/party that can allow Long, Eriksen and others in Grey-Bruce-Owen Sound to retain that proud tradition of Johnny Canuck nationalism, we are all ears to that and a whole lot more!!!
