USA Bullies Atomic Energy Agency Into Reporting Iran To UN Security Council

To state the obvious, “the world” did not have any say in the matter. Tens of millions of people around the globe, who opposed and continue to oppose the illegal US-led occupation of Iraq, are no doubt looking on in apprehension as Washington once again seizes on unproven allegations concerning “weapons of mass destruction” to threaten economic sanctions and possibly military action against Iran. The key decision was not taken at the IAEA meeting in Vienna on Saturday but rather at a gathering a week ago in London of the five permanent UN Security Council members—the US, Britain, France, Russia and China—plus Germany. At that meeting, all agreed to support a resolution to “report” Iran to the UN Security if it failed to suspend all uranium enrichment activities and fully cooperate with IAEA inspections. http://www.wsws.org/articles/2006/feb2006/iran-f06.shtml

George is taking a more cautious approach this time. His country can't afford any more wars, solo. We all knew it was coming, but not sure if the USA would take the direct approach or get someone else to do their dirty work. Bush is already asking for more money on the Iraq affair and one can conclude that some of this money will be also spent trying to squeeze Iran into a compromising position.

Iran seems to be holding their own, but realizing the confrontation with the USA is dire. Those Arab countries already in Georges hip pocket, are already getting US support and more then willing to pounce upon command. Iran is loosing their friends and allies to the US dollar and will be isolated without any compromises. They are already prohibiting American imports and George is aware of that. He is trying to get those countries who export to Iran to cease forthwith. One would have thought that George would be wise enough to wait until Iran is processing and then announce they are preparing Nuclear weapons. Perhaps he's concerned they may allow Russia to do it for them and ruin his plan.
