Council is paying a British Columbia software company $6,000 to install the new system, and another $6,000 a year to operate it. Once it's up and running, councillors will be able to access all town business — letters, reports, agendas, budgets — through a secure portal from any computer connected to the internet.
"It does cost a little money, but it's also going to be a very good system for the town staff in managing all the files," said Gallant.
