"I'd rather go online and if I need a document I'm looking for I can go find it there. I don't have to go through papers and say, is it here, is it there?" Council is paying a British Columbia software company $6,000 to install the new system, and another $6,000 a year to operate it. Once it's up and running, councillors will be able to access all town business — letters, reports, agendas, budgets — through a secure portal from any computer connected to the internet.
