Interesting article, I wonder if the Liberals are paying attention when he says that Canadians don't want a politician whose idealogies are more American than Canadian; hopefully many politicians will listen to that message!

I agree with Catherine. I hope the Liberals did get the message that Canadians are not eager to embrace American values.
I also agree with Mr. Lawrence ... Canadians are not dyed-in-the-wool Liberal supporters, they are just much more comfortable with someone who has no stark radical tendencies ... left or right. The NDP still seems to be a little too leftist for many people (and not nearly leftist enough for me) but the Conservatives have been acceptable to them periodically ... most notably when the leader has been a centrist or at least close to being one.
