Belinda Stronach Is The Mike Harris Candidate

Posted on Saturday, January 24 at 09:09 by Anonymous
And Harris kept hammering these three neo-conservative themes all through his seven years as premier, including a successful re-election campaign in 1999.

Now, the Harrisites are stressing the same three themes through their chosen candidate for the federal Conservative leadership, Belinda Stronach.

Yup.....it\'s hilarious that she\'s running!!! Ontario hates Harris (and Janet Ecker, Mulroney, Clinton), so they won\'t vote for her, Quebec hates neocons, and people who aren\'t bilingual, so they are out, and Alberta wants a male candidate, so they\'re out. Also, B.C. is also more NDP than Conservative now.

I am happy the Globe and Mail finally gave Jack Layton his due on Saturday, and piointed out he\'s up 2%, while the \"Merged\" rigth is down 5 %!!! Also, in a Star interview, Stronach said \"Ah, and you know about 20X)

    -hehh

I hate to tell you this, but Ms. Stronach has Quebec wrapped up. Not that I care, but Harper has a major problem with this.

She has as much support with fewer members than Harper has.

The deck is stacked in favour of MS. Stronach.

You\'ll see, she has the backing of mulroney, who has support in Quebec, as well as the Mike Harris followers, so Quebec could pose a problem for Harper.

Personally, I hope they fight to the death and we end up with NO right-wing parties, except for the Liberals under Paul Martin.

Then I see a place for the Centre-Left as a viable alternative.

    Go CAP !!

Stronach says, \'ah and you know\' maybe they miss typed it, \'ha ha ha\' but the you know was probably correct \'cause she sure doesn\'t and is hoping somebody knows something. I think it\'s her signal for Mulroney to come out and save her, it\'s like \'help\' in sign language!! Sorry but I just can\'t take this seriously, not because she\'s a woman just because of the way it happend and so far she hasn\'t said anything intelligent. But her money seems to be talking, so....

Quebec is easier to wrap up. Fewer candidates in fewer riding associations. Something like 5000 members per associations to 15,000 per association out West.<p> The easiest way to wrap up Quebec is be whomever the West doesn't like.<p> Personally I don't like Ms Stronach's stance on. . . on. . . Ummm. . . does she have a stance on anything?<p> <p>---<br>"History does not repeat itself, but it does rhyme" Mark Twain <br />"The greatest price of not participating in politics is being governed by your inferiors." Jim, I meant in an election, (assuming she gets the leadership) she\'ll have no chance when the voters decide.

Sorry I wasn\'t clear. That being said, it\'s funnt. Tony Clement is young, eloquent, bilingual, and beight, and would DEFINITELY be the best leader, if he can improve his presence. That being said, he WROTE the Common-Sense-Revolution, wrote Alliance policy, and although he regularly visited constituents in Brampton, he was part of a party that badly-damaged Ontario, so I hate his guts.

Another funny thing, if you read this Star article:

1 - Tony Clement wasn\'t backed by Harris, because of his \"Disturbing penchant for independant thinking.\" lol

2 - John Laschinger, who ran Harris\' \"Tax-cutter\" campaign in 1990, (right) David Miller\'s mayoralty campaign (centre-left, as Miller\'s an NDP member,) and Belinda Stronach. (far right)

It\'s pretty hard to deny politics is money and spin when the same guy is working on 2 conflicting sides.....ethics, morals, anyone??!!!!

Whelan, this is TOO GOOD. FInally, politics is funny again!!!!! Let\'s watch a billionaire-heiress fall flat on her face, after she RESIGNED FROM A 9.1 MILLION/YEAR, FIGUREHEAD JOB!!!!! ahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahah

Canada will know Stronach\'s name, but not for the right reasons. She\'ll probably pull the Kim Campbell, and go be a lecturer.....you know, positive-thinking, all that BS. ahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahhahahahahahhahhaahhahahahhahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahhh ~!~~

Quebec doesn\'t like her, either, so even if she gets the leadership, the party is dead. They\'re a total caricature of themselves. They wouldn\'t win seats in an election.

And Mulroney may have support in Quebec, but separatist sentiment is down, and I doubt Mulroney\'s PC-type \"Liberal\" Jean Charest is winning any friends in Quebec, either.

    As for Stronach:

    \"Does she have any positions?\"

    No.

\"On Canadian troops in Iraq: \"I\'m not a military expert. Or an expert at anything, including being a pinup. Go back to YorkU, kid.......

Oh yeah, but we \"Should immediately have closer ties to the U.S., harmonize our policies, and join the missile shield\" --because she\'s an expert against that. Whatever.

Rick Mercer did it again, had a great bit about Belinda, very funny...also made a nice reference to Paul Martin, he was talking to Sheila Copps and asked her if Martin\'s action of trying to squeeze her out would make him a \'prick\', Sheila, yes Sheila was shocked, it was terrific!

George Bush, Paul Martin,Belinda Stronach, all spoiled rich kids! Gee, I wonder if I could just walk into the office of a political party with no experience and say, \"I wanna run!\" But see what`s going on here? With each passing moment, the plutocrats stack the deck, until freedom and democracy are no more! Oh, and Belinda has admitted, in dimwitted fashion, that she`s for privatization of health care if the private sector can deliver services to Canadians \'more efficiently.\' Now, i wish I could have placed a bet somewhere predicting that she`d say something like that.

You know Dave you got me looking back at Tommy Douglas, and I have found the most inspirational politician,( human being ever in Canadian politics); if you look at Canada around 1944, you can see that is exactly what the globalist are trying to bring us back to, no healthcare, survival of the fittest.

It is so sad when you read about the passion that this man attacked the social problems and overcame so much, to see what is being done today is really unbelievable. We so need a Tommy Douglas today!!

  12. Tue Jan 27, 2004 8:04 pm
Oh I forgot, here is one of Tommy Douglas\' quotes which I absolutely love: \'The trouble with the Liberals is that they have a wishbone where a backbone ought to be\'. Hope I quoted that correctly, but you get the drift.

  13. Tue Jan 27, 2004 11:11 pm
    That\'s crazy!!! :)

If Belinda Babe mentioned the health care issue, she\'s an IDIOT. That\'s a top priority in this country, and enough to disqualify her in the minds of voters right there.
