Kerry Won!

Greg Palast has an excellent article detailing why Kerry won: The election in Ohio was not decided by the voters but by something called "spoilage." Typically in the United States, about 3 percent of the vote is voided, just thrown away, not recorded. When the bobble-head boobs on the tube tell you Ohio or any state was won by 51 percent to 49 percent, don't you believe it ... it has never happened in the United States, because the total never reaches a neat 100 percent. The television totals simply subtract out the spoiled vote. http://www.tompaine.com/articles/kerry_won.php

and that is why democracy depends on being able to check the v oting procedures for 'irregularities' and cheating. There is a mass of Freedom of information requests in right now about the procedures and events involved; I look forward to seeing the results of such an audit.

The problems with voting in minority precints also shows that rough social equality is needed for democracy to work.
It might not be intentional, but the poorest districts got the worst equipment and the most poorly trained staff. So more of their votes were wasted.

---
The poster formally known as Action-Jackson
I can just see the topic of the next Michael Moore movie.

BTW make sure you all have a look at "17 Reasons Not to Slit Your Wrists...by Michael Moore" at http://www.michaelmoore.com

Could Michael Moore need Bush as much as Bush needs Bin Ladin?
