Sources said that other candidates are in the running, including one from a Scandinavian country. Mr. Ashdown withdrew from the post last month after opposition from Afghan President Hamid Karzai, who was reportedly concerned that the former British politician would have too much influence in the country.     Karzai's very existence depends entirely on having foreign troops prop up his phony government (full of frothing war lords mind you), therefore the people who supply Karzai with his military protection are calling all the shots in Afghanistan.

    I suppose Manley will be getting a nice pay raise for the post as a reward for his incestuous behaviour. Libs, Cons, whatever, they are all part of the same big happy family of incestuous whores.
