U.S. Court Rejects Manitoba Challenge To Water Diversion

Posted on Tuesday, August 24 at 14:30 by whelan costen
A United States court has rejected Manitoba's challenge to a North Dakota water diversion project. North Dakota wants to drain water from Devils Lake. It is a body of salt-laden water that is prone to flooding. Its water level has risen by 9 metres since 1993. Manitoba and People to Save the Sheyenne, a North Dakota group opposing the $28-million US outlet, believe that salt water from the lake could contaminate the Red River, which flows through Winnipeg, if allowed to drain through the Sheyenne River. http://www.mytelus.com/news/article.do?pageID=cbc/canada_home&articleID=1694971

The U.S. Court did good work. It is too late. You Procrastonated, you have yourself to blame. 11th Hour. You had since 1992.

Try this on your liscense plate:

    "Procrastonating Manitobans"

Yep. Every North Dakotan will wander off to piss in the Sheyenne, and thereby cause massive floods in Manitoba.

It'll all be their fault - unless you can get them to stop drinking so much beer!
