"... a secret project to build a new, government-controlled briefing room at the cost of $2 million"

This is yet another reason why we should refuse to pay "general" taxes.

now there's a report that the government-controlled media centre was abandoned "at an early stage"
From your link
A hand-drawn sketch of the facility also showed a space for "maybe permanently installed cameras with feeds to media."

That suggested that the news cameras may have been controlled by government employees instead of independent media journalists, reports the Star.

Many details of the project were blacked-out or withheld because of "international affairs and defence," "security," and cabinet confidentiality.
All this from a guy you say you'll be voting for. I have to question the sincerity of people who defend the indefensible.

So what? The government hasn't gone ahead with it. & where did you read anything that said I was going to vote Conservative? Post a link to where I said I was, if you can. With so much information at your fingertips you seem to have a tendency to somehow NOT be informed about things.

    "So what?"

You've got to be joking.

"The government hasn't gone ahead with it."

Not that we know of, but they seriously considered it which is almost just as bad as going ahead with it. These "thoughts" tell me a lot about the kind of people who are running loose inside the government with their hands at the controls.

"where did you read anything that said I was going to vote Conservative?"

I apologize. You did not explicitly say you were going to vote conservative. It seems I got you and psiclone mixed up since you've been like two peas in a pod recently.

"Post a link to where I said I was, if you can."

Although to my knowledge you did not explicitly say you'd vote for Harper, you've posted several opinions that appear to back up Harper. Here's a series of posts that serve as an example of what gave me the impression that you were going to vote "new" conservative ...

Canadian PM Stacks Deck of new Afghan Mission Review Board

It is possible that you are so much against the Liberals, that in an effort to make them look like fools you are inadvertently promoting Harper as a viable alternative - you tell me.

Then there's this statement from you:

"Believe me, Harper & the rest of his crew aren't my heroes but right now the Conservatives are the most "ViveleCanada.ca" party there is, and has been since soon after they were elected."

Such a claim is hard for me to swallow, considering that Harper is selling out Canada (just as the Liberals were doing) without skipping a beat.
