Board Meeting - November 14, 2004

1) Call to Order. Present: Jvanherk, Sthompson, Milton, Dr. Caleb Absent: Bob Price, Whalen Costen. 2) Old business: A) Proper names and titles for the signatories to the Vive Charter were requested. B) Whether to add the standard clause which allows the Non profit society knows as 'Vive Le Canada.ca Society for the Protection of canadian Sovereingty' to borrow money. Since this clause does not have to be used, the motion to include it was carred. C) A copy of the Application was to be emailed to Milton and Dr Caleb for their signatures, and returend to SThompson to be filed with the Minister of Industry. D) The cost of filing will be $200, plus $30 for a name search, so $150 from the Paypal account was transferred to SThompson to cover some of those costs. 3) New Business A) Financials will be Kept by Milton, and copies of Statements will be submitted to the Secretary, Dr. Caleb for filing and records retention. B) Link Policies. There had been some discussion by members as to how the Editors decide which links to post. It was decided that a poll should be written to find out how the membership feels links to sites should be treated by the editors. The questions of the poll should be broad enough to encompass any possible treatment of Links. Susan will take suggestions by the board for these questions by email. Once the poll runs for a couple weeks, the result will shape the guidelines in the FAQ for links. C) Strategies to deal with Lockheed Martin should be formulated. Ideas to be presented at the next meeting. 4) Next meeting: December 5, 2004, at 15:00 MST, via IRC at irc://irc.freenode.net#vivelecanada 5) Meeting Adjourned 16:09
