Olbermann - Dire Warning

Posted on Friday, October 20 at 11:18 by Patm
We have lived as if in a trance. We have lived… as people in fear. And now — our rights and our freedoms in peril — we slowly awake to learn that we have been afraid… of the wrong thing. And did it even occur to you once sir — somewhere in amidst those eight separate, gruesome, intentional, terroristic invocations of the horrors of 9/11 — that with only a little further shift in this world we now know — just a touch more repudiation of all of that for which our patriots died — Did it ever occur to you once, that in just 27 months and two days from now when you leave office, some irresponsible future President and a "competent tribunal" of lackeys would be entitled, by the actions of your own hand, to declare the status of "Unlawful Enemy Combatant" for… and convene a Military Commission to try… not John Walker Lindh, but George Walker Bush? For the most vital, the most urgent, the most inescapable of reasons. http://www.crooksandliars.com/2006/10/18/countdown-special-comment-death-of-habeas-corpus-your-words-are-lies-sir/

Wouldn't that be a bit of irony. GWB being held as an enemy combatant. He is afterall, in the context of that speech at least, America's worst enemy.

I read this last night - very telling and very well written. Today Bush Co has told the lower US courts they have no right to challenge his constitution killing law. The march to fascism continues unabated.

How long till our poodle wants this for Canada?

If there was ever a time for Canadians to become pushy - now is the time - for time is running out on this nation called Canada.

How fast was that "realization" by the MSM? MSNBC, how quickly they awaken. Five years of people screaming foul and the MSM stubbornly, defiantly feeds the population the official line and defends every act of the administration and then overnight changes its tune to warn America that it's too late.

Olbermann is a horses ass. He used to do sports, and he should have kept doing sports.
Problem is, he was just as uninformed then, as he is now.

Of course he is Warlock. Everyone knows that Americans had too many rights anyways. We understand how someone like yourself has the nobility to accept that you may have to give up a little freedom to preserve your liberty, or is that give up liberty to preserve freedom? I can't remember because for some reason I always get those two mixed up.

You have to forgive warlock. He's a little mixed up too. He even defies his own Idol Bush, when Bush revealed that Iraq was not envolved with any attack against his own country. Warlock don't like those words. Warlock even refuses to believe that the Afghani had not attacked the USA. Warlock will only believe what he want's to and defy any who are contrary. Warlock get's confused as well too and unfortunatly there are enough confused Americans, to keep the blood bath going.

Unfortunatly Americans & Canadians are always slow to react. Even when they know that their basic rights are eroding, they are either slow to react or a few even react like warlock. Soon there will be no liberty to have freedom or freedom to have the liberty. Even when posting as anonyms, warlock tried to rush his veiws in before it was to late. Perhaps he's doing the same now, knowing his freedoms are becoming limited.
