Incentive pay / overtime wages ?

I am writing to you in hopes that someone may have some information to help me out with a problem that I am having.
My spouse has been working for a carpet and upholstry cleaning business for the last 7 years and has never been paid any overtime. He works anywhere from 60-80 hours a week and sometimes has 6 day work weeks. My problem is that his wages are based strictly on commission and nothing else. He does not make alot of money for the time that he is putting into this job. I have looked everywhere possible to find out some information on this but everything keeps comming up as salary wages. Does anyone know how we could figure out whether he is entitled to overtime wages and how we would find out what the wages would be?
ex.#1 If he was to go to a job where he had to clean 4 rooms and a hall for $200.00 he would make 18% of that $200.00. It takes about 3-3 1/2 hours to do this job therefore he would be paid $36.00.
ex.#2 He just put in a 14 1/2 hour day and only made $90.00. This works out to a wage of $6.20 per hour. This is above Alberta minimum wage so is he still entitled to overtime pay?
He has his Journeyman's certificate as well. Is there anyone who knows if there is a minimum wage for a Journeyman Carpet Technition and if so could you please let me know everything that you know about this particular matter. It would be greatly appreciated.Thank - you to anyone who may be able to help us.
