Britons have little faith in Bush's diplomacy George W Bush is seen as a great or moderate threat to world peace by three-quarters (75 per cent) of Britons, a new poll has shown.

The ICM poll, conducted for the Guardian newspaper, ranks the US president as more dangerous than either North Korean leader Kim Jong Il, or the president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmedinejad, who are rated as a danger to world peace by 69 per cent and 62 per cent of Britons, respectively.

Only Osama bin Laden narrowly out ranks Mr Bush in terms of the perceived threat that he poses to global stability, with 87 per cent of Britons questioned in the survey rating the al-Qaida leader as a great or moderate danger to peace.

Just ten per cent of British people thought that the US president posed no threat at all.

The Guardian survey, in which just over 1,000 Britons were questioned, was part of a wider international poll, with citizens also questioned in Israel, Canada and Mexico through leading newspapers in the countries.
