Cosmopolitan - Cosmopolite is a new political party pilot project. We plan to have candidates in all federal ridings in the next federal election. We support the collective defence and promotion of Canada as a sovereign and socially progressive society.

We would like to invite the participation of diverse Canadians as co-founding members of this initiative.

We are also conducting a 'grassroots' search for prospective 'Prime Ministers' (and also prospective Members of Parliament). This process is as an alternative to the comparatively auncompetitive Convention process of the Liberal Party of Canada, and other such political parties dominated by elitist politics.

General info about Cosmopolitan

Help support the advancement and promotion of Canada's national identity as a socially
progressive and cosmopolitan society.

'Cosmopolitan' is a "pan-Canadian sovereigntist" movement in support of Canadian aspirations for a
independent, strong, and united Canada.

Join our socially progressive and quality-of-life oriented "Canadian sovereigntist" political party initiative.

The political philosophies of Canadian Cosmopolitanism are the following:

-- Social inclusion associated with the promotion of equality and human rights;

-- Universality associated with the promotion of a system of enshrined human rights inclusive of
maximized support to universal public healthcare, public health, environmental protection to the
ecological endowment, and valued Canadian social programmes;

- Cultural pluralism associated with a strong multi-cultural and cross-cultural national national community rather than a Canada that is de-evolved into provincial feudal elites;

-- Federalism, associated with a strong central government. Such federalism should be executed via the affirmation of political, economic and cultural sovereignty, that can enable the protection of a comprehensive system of values and Canadian citizenship rights. These rights are being undermined via so-called "free trade" and also "Economic Globalization";

- Creative government: Government that is viewed as a potentially constructive and facilitative agent that serves the diverse public in support of facilitating quality-of-life objectives -- rather that government as a primary agent of a 'capitalistocracy', that views government as hindering short-term maximization of "market profit".

-- Democracy that is consensual and participatory associated with responsible and accountable
constitutional government, rather than upon elitist politics in a 'capitalistocracy';

-- Quality-of-Life: a political economy that is driven by serving the needs of people in association with the environment that people depend upon for their quality-of-survival, rather than a political economy that pivots on the execution of draconian practices, in a prism of 'market fundamentalism'.

-- The independence of Canada in domestic affairs, that is not subverted by trade policies in a 'capitalistoracy'; and an independence in which Canada à la "constructive internationalism" can provide leadership on the promotion of social ethical values. These values can be viewed to be associated with the Canadian national identity. This includes values associated with the alleviation of poverty, universality, community, global peace, and the sovereignty of communities and nations that in turn is able to facilitate the quality-of-life of its citizens, inclusively.

-- Cosmopolitan furthermore affirms that social justice is the basis of a humane society;

-- Cosmopolitan affirms that environmental protection and the minimizing of social costs should be integrated in economic development considerations in Canada and internationally;

-- Cosmopolitan affirms that Universal Public Healthcare system and related services should be a basic and fundamental human right, not subjected to capricious legislative infringements on such universal public healthcare access by Canadians;

-- Cosmopolitan embraces the need to promote public sector not-for-profit activities. Such activities support the quality-of-life attainments of the diverse Canadian public, via the provision of public services, including supporting "ecologically sensitized hydro", that is affordable to the diverse public

-- Cosmopolitan seeks to promote the need for environmentally-sensitized community economic
development;

- Cosmopolitan further supports the need to promote Canadian sovereignty and independence that affirms socially responsible government on behalf of Canadians.
