Long-time Tory jumps ship

Former national Progressive Conservative party president Bruck Easton jumped to the Liberals Wednesday, on the same day Tory Leader Stephen Harper came to Windsor, saying he could no longer stomach his former party's direction.

"I don't find the Conservative Party either progressive socially or conservative economically and those were always the two key points I've held on to through the years as a Progressive Conservative," Easton said on his front lawn, where he had just knocked in a Liberal campaign sign for the first time in 30 years.
