Hey, you realize articles posted on the site don't at all mean Vive is officially advocating anything. If we officially advocate something, we'll launch an action about it or say so, officially. As we state on the site, articles are the opinions of the people posting and we post a broad diversity of opinion on the site, often to show what the "enemy" is saying, and often simply because everybody has a different opinion.

In other words, Vive DOES NOT ADVOCATE the concession of Canadian arctic sovereignty just because someone posted the article you mention.

I certainly don't advocate giving up Canada's north and I'd say my opinion counts for something, being President and founder.
Re the icon for sovereignty, I wouldn't read too much into it. Most of the icons were picked for expediency's sake, because they were what we could find for public use or because they fit the right size or whatever, duh. I'd much rather have a bunch of original consistent ones created or drawn by somebody. They're defintiely not some sort of strong statement in and of themselves. Talk about taking things too seriously.
