Maybe we should scrap CBC radio 2 and use the money to strengthen Radio one . Those who like to listen to snobby music can buy an MP3, and not let their preferences threaten funding for CBC radio one. We don't need to waste scarce resources to broadcast what anyone can get cheaply from an MP3.
While cruising Barclay Sound I found that I could only get CBC while in Ucluelet on FM ,yet there are some coastguard radio antenae on a mountain that would give line of sight to all of Barclay Sound, including Bamfield. I don't belive the coastguard would object to CBC putting an FM tower on their mountain alongside their equipment , giving good line of sight FM reception all over the sound and beyond. I wonder if this is the case in many locations all over Canada.
