BC judges are taking the BC government to court , suing them, because they don't think their $250,000 a year salaries are enough. Who will pass judgment on their case? Judges of course! Who will pass judgment on their appeals ? More judges, of course! In the rare event that any judge rules against them, who will pass judgment on complaints made against them in the judicial review? More judges! Who will pass judgment on the validity of their rulings? More judges!
How can someone pass financial judgments on what are reasonable fees and charges for those who earn a tiny fraction of their grossly inflated salaries? Are they not, in effect, over powered , bench warming "Marie Antoinettes?"
These are people who demand that people use terms like "Your Honour , and "Mr Justice" in addresing them, and show them the utmost respect. I have always believed that respect is something to be earned, not childishly demanded. The latter, by it's very nature, brings the administration of the legal industry into serious disrepute.
And they call this "Justice"?"
