The latest opinion polls put the Corp$ervative$ at 32%, the NDP at 29% and the Fiberal$ at 25%. That was BEFORE they started talking about screwing around with pensions. They are probably behind the NDP by now. When the Mulroney government started talking about screwing around with pensions, even tho they never did what they were proposing ,they dropped rapidly in the polls , to eventually be reduced to two seats.Public trust in them to maintain pensions was gone, at the first suggestion of undermining them.
The life expectancy of the gun registry is now measured in hours. With that gone , they will have nothing more to offer rural voters. They may promise to make the license a lifetime license, but the NDP have only to say "Ya we will also do that" and they will lose their stronghold in Western Canada. Western Canada now has a higher population than eastern Canada, and with so many, far more powerful rural voters, it will decide the next government, and will for decades to come . | |
