The employment rates and job creation rates in the US have been falling, while the same have been rising in Canada. The Canadian economy is doing far better than the US economy , all with a much higher Canadian dolar. This pretty well kills the myth that we need a low Canadian dollar to keep our economy competitive. Even manufacturing , which has often been claimed to be very dependent on a low Canadian dollar, is doing much better lately.
So the claim that we need a low dollar to do well economicaly, has been proven to have been a bare faced lie , all along.
