Harper has just announced the new Canadian passports will cost $250 each. Diplomats get a $25 discount on them, but it still cost one diplomat around $900 for himself his wife and two kids.
One lady flying from Australia, with a digital recognition technology on her passport, was not recognized by the computer as the person in the photo, because ,after flying across the Pacific, she was tired, and thus looked different. Expect a lot of similar, high tech screw ups with this technology in our passports.
For Harper's type of thinking , only the rich should be allowed to travel. The not so rich belong sleeping under a bridge, or living in a dumpster.
