Harper has given the BC government a take it or leave it ultimatum on their version of the new RCMP contract, with a late November deadline, then the threat of pulling the RCMP out of BC. People in editorials are saying "Great! Don't let the door hit your ass to hard on the way out. High time they left."
The issues are accountability and costs. RCMP have zero accountability to either the province or municipalities who hire them ,only Ottawa, who simply transfer any cop who murders some innocent victim.
They are considering a return to Provincial cops and more municipal cops, who have a far better track record.
