That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Go to europe sometime and live a little. Do you think France has 'mandatory living quarters' for new immigrants? That's hogwash, immigrants are far more likely to live in poverty, which means they go where they can live with relatives of cheaply-namely 'ghettoes'. The same is true in Canada, why do you think areas of Toronto are Jamaican, others black, others asian, etc. It's exactly the same as in europe, or do you forget the 'terror shootings' of last christmas in Toronto?

Canada is no more 'multicultural' than any other country, in fact Brazil is the most diverse country by proportion than any other. Of course Canada is 'different' from europe, so is every european country from one another.

If you want to know what the definition of multiculturalism is in Canada, just go to the government website. But to try to explain what went on in some people's brains who you've never met or know anything about seems pretty specious.
Of course every canadian is an immigrant from some point, but there is certainly marked differences between when they arrived and their traditions. Different provinces have very different policies, and many have different ethnic roots. There's a reason why the NDP are so powerful in Manitoba, and non-existent in PEI and NB.
