You can read the full article by getting a membership at foreign policy. It's free so you don't need to be a subscriber to the magazine. That was all they had to say about China and France and I've scanned google a bit and found it surprising (well not really) how underreported this story actually is. Anyway go sign up if you want to read about some of the other stories you missed last year. It's a pretty decent website with some good analysis.

www.foreignpolicy.com

It will be most interesting to watch in 2005 how "deep integration" with China goes in the ROC when it threathens the culture, the language and the identity of our majority becoming the minority and then Dead Ducks, some people will claim. Have been there done that and got the T-shirt... I certainly understand how the French could see increased integration with China as a lesser evil. Vancouver has certainly been the place to experiment this on a daily basis (along with the influx of US expats).

This issue will be a whole lot more visible than the US deep integration will ever be. I can see the logic now "we are better off to deep integrate with the US than with China". Not only will we have to contend with the US lackeys but with the China ones.

Is Canada not for sale or what??? Could probably sell China made T-shirts on Canadian Sovereignty in the US market on this. Where can we buy Canadian Sovereignty branded stocks? Great satire on the horizon...
