I didn't sign up although I'll be keeping a close eye. Personally I want to try as an independant since being associated with an international "autoanarchy" party doesn't sound like a good association with our media.

I get the impression that anything other than Liberal/Conservative for the ROC and Bloc for Quebec 'doesn't sound like a good association with our media'.

That being said, 'autoanarchy' might play well with those employed in the car and related industries.

Very true, this is why I prefer to use the very aptly described term 'democracy'. Direct democracy is exactly that, however, I do share the anarchist view that our democracy must have more input in the corporate and business sectors. When you actually look at government, you find that they do have some pretty powerful levers. There do seem to be two choices, start out at the direct democracy level, or else move with a bunch of people and set up a commune.

Actually, government holds all the cards, being that it is the only body empowered to enact legislation.

It's easy to lose sight of this fact when you're dealing with governments that seem more in the nature of just another corporate division rather than a body that in a democratic nation should be acting as an instrument of the will of the citizens.

However, it remains nonetheless true.
