The federal government will reduce its previously planned growth in spending on the Canadian Forces in 2012, after Canada's mission in Afghanistan comes to an end.
In a section of the Budget 2010 document titled "Restraining Growth in National Defence Spending," the finance department says the reduction is part of its effort to restrain overall growth in spending and to balance the budget in the medium term.

Growth restraint has been going on for almost 30 years, with privatization of the money supply and corporate wish lists like NAFTA and WTO.

Either this will be quietly cancelled (put on permanent hold) as were the armored vehicles, or the facilities will be sold off, as part of the Con government's announced plans to rid itself of Crown Corporations. If the latter, the sale will come with the caveat that the money continue to be spent.....

What's the point in spending on so called "defence", when the government is setting up billboards around the borders with "CANADA FOR SALE" advertising on them ?

By NAFTA and WTO rules the minute a foreign corporation sets foot into the country, even if their so called "investment" is created from the air right here, by Canadian banks, they're receiving "national status", which allows them full citizenship rights to buy politicians and governments.

Immigrants are scanned, searched, examined and refused entry for the smallest offences on their records many years before, but corporations with mile long records of fines and offences all over the world are welcomed with open arms to continue their dirty work of cheating the public here.

Rich immigrants do. Thats how our immigration system got all out of whack to begin with. Even the qiuntessential multi-culturalist, Pierre Trudeau, reduced immigration numbers when tough times called for it.

And Mulroney put a price tag on immigration. Drop $100,000 on the table and you're in.....I have no idea what it is now.

I wonder how this country woould ever have been developed if that was the case at the end of the 19th century?
