I think fascist Harper realizes that traditionally, BC is generally more left leaning than he would like. But all I've got to say is this: " BC, do not lose your energy which derives from the notion that a responsible government, which responds from the pressure of the people, and not the so called 'free market'. Because we all know, that what they call free market, is really nothing more than banker-corporate fascist control! I've always admired the spirit of BC political engagement, which is immersed in the notion of western style freedom, tempered with a strong adherent to knowing that only a responsible government urged on by the people can craft a society of fairness. I personally believe that now that more and more people are awakening to the real problem- private banker control over monetary policy- that their fake paper house of cards is gonna come a crumblin' down!!

[quote="Dave Ruston"]I think fascist Harper realizes that traditionally, BC is generally more left leaning than he would like. So true-every word. But I must admit, a "Canadian-American" who is living in the States during a presidental election year, Mr. Harper seems almost equal to, if not slighty left of, Mr. Obama. The Conservative party in Canada is way left of the current Republican party. The state of Michigan is actually considering a whacko right-wing fanatic like Rick Santorum in their upcoming primary. As of today he leads his rival, Mitt Romney, by four percent and is very likely to win. Romney, who has traditionally and historically been a "moderate conservative", is now in his own words a "severe conservative." I'm not sure what that even means, but Romney has flip-flopped to the right on every single political issue imaginable.

Even President Obama hasn't endorsed the "Occupy Wall Street" or the "99 Percent" movement in the U.S. He continues to walk a fine line when it comes to condemning "banker-corporate fascist control." Canada's Conservative Party is more like the Democrat Party as opposed to the Republican party, which is now truly fascist in ideology. PM Harper seems fairly mainstream in comparison to anyone running on the "conservative" ticket in the U.S.
