Here's my short little letter I sent to passport Canada. They will most likely find the letter a little odd.
Once I fill out this passport form, does that make my personal information (all data) available to the U.S government or any U.S government agencies? If so I refuse to fill out this form, and hand over my information to a country I don't vote in and live in. Different human right laws in the U.S. They should not have access to Canadian citizen's personal information. I would like to have a signed letter saying that my information will never be handed over to U.S government agencies.

Haha.. that's brilliant, Kevin. Hmm, since I'm planning on boycotting the census anyways, I think I'll send a letter and demand a signed letter from.. umm.. the head of Stats Can or whoever does the census, and also from someone no lower than a Federal Minister. THEN I'll partake in the census haha

Kory,

I just realized that the passport forms I had got from the post office a while back, so they were not actually sent to me. Either way my questions and concerns are still valid.

Good work Kevin, be a thorn in the side for the government. Kory, Im liking your idea about writing a letter for the census, Im going to do that as well. If we get enough people doing that they may notice.

Plus it might draw their attention to the fact that I'm not partaking in it. Maybe they'll try to press charges. That'd be great; it'd give me a real voice. People would listen, I think. And if I do succeed in getting the signatures, I can press charges when the US gets control of the information.

Kory, I think your idea is good, but I doubt that you will ever really know or be able to prove the U.S. has your info-

Probably a safe bet to assume that they do, or at least can get it if they want it.

Shid,

Do you think U.S authorities have access to your personal information(passport) ?

i dont think they have direct access. Although, if they asked the canadian government, they would probobly give it up freely as long as they have a reason. Hey, im no terrorist, i dont really mind, but are we losing our rights this way?
